DON'T GIVE UP

When your heart is tired and weary.
When your mind can not see clearly.

Don’t give up…
Keep on fighting on.
Don’t let go…
‘Til the race is won.

When all your life seems dark and drear.
And you face everything you fear.

Don’t give up…
Keep on fighting on.
Don’t let go…
‘Til the race is won.

When from those you love you must soon go away
But all that you want is with them to stay.

Don’t give up…
Keep on fighting on.
Don’t let go…
‘Til the race is won.

  1. Yes, keep on fighting, that's what I tell myself too. You keep on fighting too Rita. Perseverance wins the race. It ain't easy, but I hear the reward is great! God bless you. Love the poem. You're very talented. Always enjoy your blogs. Melissa

  2. Thank you, Melissa!

You help encourage me a lot to keep fighting and writing. There are so few people among my friends and family who support me in this, and I am often tempted to give it up. Yet, if it helps one person I will consider the effort as nothing. :-)

I have been going through some of the rough patches, but I am amazed how God always brings good out of them (even if I don't see it until a year or two later -smile).

Keep fighting and may God bless you also!

Sincerely in the hearts of Jesus and Mary,

    Rita

  3. Thank you dear for the nice remarks. Yes, please don't give up this blog! I bet it helps you too! I know what you mean about the rough patches. God is good and does always bring good from bad: we may not see it right away, or as fast as we'd like to. That's trusting in His Divine Providence, which I'm still working on. Please consider emailing me anytime you want to chat. I'd love to chat with you also. We seem very similar, and could be good for one another spiritually too.
    God Bless,
    Melissa

  4. You are absolutely right! It DOES help me too! I just needed someone to remind me of that fact!

When I first started this blog it actually was not public, and I made it more as a reference point to go to and remind myself of things which I had already learned. :-)
